30 days clean in 1987 Dead Show Anaheim
My Laguna Beach sober living house took us to see the Dead show at Anaheim Stadium the day I had 30 days clean and sober.
It was overwhelming to be smelling pot and seeing people smoking crack so close around me. Then we saw Orange helium balloons with NA symbols on them being released and held on strings in a place right in the out field.
We made our way to the balloons and it was a makeshift NA meeting being while the Dead was on stage. People shared then they had a clean time count down. A guy who was on acid won as the newest newcomer. True story. I relapsed after that, but my clean date stands as Oct. 5th, 1987. Touch of Gray is my recovery theme song. "I will survive"

Second set moved me to write a review -- very strong Other One and NFA. Worth the listen - great high energy on-fire versions. Rest of show not as noteworthy.

25 years ago today....great show
i was at this show and at times it was a bit out of control..bobby was distracted with fighting in the front row..some heads where clashing with some staff pro..alot of people including myself where very high on lsd and it was very hot when the dead took the stage...but once everything settled down it turned out to be a great show...dylan sounded good to me haa!!

Not a Soundboard
obviously, are you kidding me? Bass is muddy and there are people screaming from all directions.

Wow a board w/ Dylan!
I was there and at the other two before this on the west coast. Even though acoustics suck there it is better with a board tape but one obviusly can't see Weir in his silly Madonna t-shirt! Seriously though 'Watchtower' is terrific thus they put it on the album. Also the rarer stuff like 'Chimes of Freedom' is great!
